St. Mary Fall Festival 2022

St. Mary's Fall Festival on Sept. 18 was truly a day of fun, food, and fellowship! Special thanks to all of the great volunteers, donors, and sponsor who helped make the day a success. We were able to raise money and donate soccer balls to St. Andrew's School in Cameroon, provide food donations to the local food pantry, and increase involvement in St. Mary's ministries.

The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe

In the 1920’s Pope Pius XI noticed a trend toward secularization, communism, and atheism. His response? Instituting the Feast of Christ the King.

In the encyclical Quas Primas which established this feast day, Pope Pius XI said that the many evils in the world were “due to the fact that the majority of men had thrust Jesus Christ and his holy law out of their lives.” Pope Pius then said that Christ should reign in our minds, wills, hearts, and bodies. In short, Jesus should be King of every aspect of every Christian’s life.
