Dear Parish Family,
Thank you for your care and concern during my present illness. You have brought me strength and courage. Your prayers have been a spiritual comfort for me. I also want to thank you for accompanying me on my faith journey for almost 24 years. Whether you were here when I first came to St. Mary’s or joined us some time after that, your presence in my life helped my personal growth. Sharing your ups and downs, your faith and your spiritual struggles, gave me nourishment and insights into the real meaning of a parish community.
I want to thank the staff of St. Mary’s for their support through the years. They are the backbone of the parish. I want to especially thank Fr. Rick Beaulieu for working with me for 18 years in this ministry.
Though Fr. Michael has been with us for only a few weeks, his kindness to me is very much appreciated. I give a tip of the hat to Fr. Rich McGowan, Fr. Joe Keville and all the visiting priests with whom I worked through the years. A special thank you goes to the Winchester Police and Auxiliary, as well as the Winchester Fire Department and the many town officials who have been so kind to our faith community.
On the advice of my doctor, I have decided to prepare for hospice in my family home in Maine. I will end my ministry at St. Mary’s on Tuesday, July 4, but I will be taking with me all your love as well as the many memories I have of you.
God bless you all
